By applying a transparent seal on hybrid vehicles, we guarantee that the distinctive orange cable remains visible to emergency personnel. Coating electric vehicles with a black tar or rubber based substance poses several risks, including obscuring the emergency orange cable and potentially damaging electrical connectors, rubbers, and plastics. Oil-based applications also present a problem, as oil can swell rubber gaskets within the plugs throughout any contemporary vehicle, and allow for intrusion along the wiring, creating shorts in critical management or safety systems.
